Quantitative: research based o measurable facts and numericial data and statistics.

(closed questions), numbers.

Qualitative: reasearch based on opinions, attuides and preferences.

(open questions), rich data.



  • easier to organise
  • can be put into graphs
  • can reach more people


  • get more opinions
  • makes it more enjoyable for the person being interviewd
  • opinions are more detailed.



  • doesn’t give you opions
  • uninteresting for the participant
  • provides only a snapshot on that day
  • can lead particpants into an answer


  • not very easy to organise data
  • takes longer
  • diffucult to create
  • can be expensive
